SOPRANO To Deliver Telstra Mobile Portal with TIBCO Real Time Software Infrastructure

Telstra Awards Enhanced Information Services Project To Soprano To Provide Personalised Mobile And Voice Information Portal SYDNEY, Australia and PALO ALTO, Calif. - March 22, 2000 - SOPRANO DESIGN Pty Ltd and TIBCO Software Inc. (Nasdaq: TIBX) today announced that Australia's largest telecommunications carrier, Telstra Corporation (ASX: TLS) , has awarded SOPRANO the Enhanced Information Services Project to be delivered on the SOPRANO InHarmony Mobile Information Portal platform. SOPRANO embedded TIBCO TIB /Rendezvous, TIB HAWK and TIB SDK into the SOPRANO InHarmony platform to provide a real time scalable architecture to manage the scaling requirements of carriers for mobile information services. The SOPRANO InHarmony platform will deliver personalised news, sport results, e-mail and stock quotes with both push and pull capability.
