Deepak Naidu

Chief Finance Officer

Deepak Joined Soprano in July 2017, and has been running the Finance department as Finance Director since April 2019, overseeing operational and strategic leadership for all financial aspects of the business and managing a global team of finance professionals. Additionally, he manages Soprano’s stakeholder relationships including Boards, Banks, Insurances, Auditors, Tax advisors, commercial consultants.

Deepak brings extensive leadership experience to Soprano, with a 20-year background in finance spanning a diverse range of industries and management roles. His diverse background has built expertise in finance and ERP transformation projects, startups, international expansion, mergers and acquisitions, dual track process, global tax and transfer pricing projects. After spending nearly a decade in increasingly responsible audit roles with KPMG in Fiji and then Sydney, his career focused in the retail sector as financial controller for various retail organisations, including BrasNThings, Marcs/David Lawrence and Payless Shoes. He holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Financial Management from University of the South Pacific, Fiji and Post-graduate Chartered Accountant qualifications with “Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.”
