Soprano Design Unwanted Messages
Soprano is committed to ensuring that its messaging services are used lawfully and responsibly – and that the rights of the end consumer of messages are protected. We require our enterprise and government customers to comply with local laws, and encourage them to use tools we provide to manage consent, including consumer opting out.
We are a signatory to the global Mobile Ecosystem Forum Business SMS Code of Conduct, which aims to tackle SMS fraud and protect consumers.
In New Zealand, we have signed up to the Mobile Message Service Code [Mobile Messaging Services Code – TCF], which sets out the rights and obligations for the advertising, promotion and operational of all premium and non-premium messaging services.
As a consumer, your first call if you receive any unwanted or suspicious SMS should be to your service provider, who will then escalate the matter to us for response.”
